The Chanderi Weavers’ ICT Resource centre is equipped with 20 machines, out of which 10 machines are high – end, installed with superior designing software which will be used for training the weavers. The other 10 machines are low end and are used for training students in basic ICT skills. The centre also has a laser printer, a fax machine, a scanner and broadband.

At present there are one or two dispensaries in chanderi which only have general medical checkup facilities. Proper medical centers for specific diagnosis and treatment are conspicuous by their absence.
The digital tourism promotion program will be undertaken with support and assistance from INTACH, linking it to the larger Chanderi community portal. This programme with Mobile based 3D tour for Chanderi historical monuments giving pre and post tour information. Public-private postings, advertisements, tenders will be posted along with tourism related web bill boards and tourist packages.
This initiative endeavours to develop a specialized digital content creation and development programme in Chanderi covering each and every aspect of Chanderi’s ecosystem by digitizing Chanderi’s historical and socio – cultural fabric, leading to the creation of a comprehensive community portal. This is linked to the larger paradigm of Community based tourism and its promotion through digital means using audio-video tools.
The youth of Chanderi needs to be encouraged to start small scale entrepreneurial activities in the form of ICT enabled micro – enterprises in order to enhance the economy and infrastructure of the town as well as provide employment opportunities.
