The youth of Chanderi needs to be encouraged to start small scale entrepreneurial activities in the form of ICT enabled micro – enterprises in order to enhance the economy and infrastructure of the town as well as provide employment opportunities.
This project will introduce a specially designed ICT social entrepreneurship program targeting the youth of Chanderi. Its core components include:
1. Setting up of ICT enabled micro – enterprises like Cyber Cafes.
2. Integrating Block printing, embroidery and tailoring with ICT applications.
3. Using ICT for design development
4. Setting up computerized block printing machines.
5. Setting up a Computerised Jacquard Card Punching Machine as a subsidiary unit of the Chanderi Weavers ICT Resource Centre.
